Global Medical Libraries (GML) significantly enhances the initial and continuing medical education of healthcare professionals in communities crippled by the lack of materials, with which to teach, learn and provide healthcare of all kind, through donated medical education resources. Voice of America (VOA) broadcast aired in Afghanistan and
shared with VOA Urdu Service, which broadcasts to Pakistan.
Since the program’s inception in April 2007, over $2.5 MM of health sciences textbooks have been donated to 36 countries spread over 5 continents, at no expense to the recipients or their governments. This is made possible through the generosity of individuals, institutions and publishers who donate new and used medical textbooks.
